Job Description

Knik Construction is seeking an entry‑level summer intern for a Mechanic’s Helper position. This opportunity is open to recent high school graduates interested in mechanics, equipment, or hands‑on work. No experience is required. 
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist mechanics with routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles
  • Help with inspections, cleaning, and basic repairs
  • Learn how construction equipment is maintained
  • Organize tools and keep shop areas clean
  • Follow safety rules and work as part of a team
  • Perform duties as assigned

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recently graduated from high school
  • Interest in mechanical or hands‑on work
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather
  • Willingness to learn and ask questions
  • Dependable and positive attitude
  • Valid driver’s license
