Job Description

Job Description:

  • The salary for this position is $66,926.08 - $83,657.60
  • Provide Configuration Management services for technical documentation, software versions, material and equipment inventories, and test infrastructure. 
  • Develop, prepare and update CM plans and associated documentation. 
  • Develop, maintain, and update configuration status accounting records 
  • Develop and maintain an equipment/system locator record in designated depository that provides part number, location, serial number of items (if applicable), configuration status, and trace ability. 
  • Develop a configuration management plan suited for Model Based Design, meta‐data utilization and “paperless drawing” workflows. The configuration management plan shall adhere to the guidelines in MIL‐HDBK‐61A and MILSTD-3001. 
  • Track Technical Data Product Element status with single system that reports element completion status, personnel assignments, workflow status, reference designator accounting, drawing number management and revision tracking. 
  • Utilize Product Data Management (PDM) to maintain version control of point clouds, meshes, CAD models, and deliverables of technical documentation. 
  • Configuration Control: Process Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Change (RFCs), and Navy Modernization Process (NMP) documents.
  • Data Management: Maintain configuration baselines and status accounting for shipboard systems.
  • Audit Support: Conduct configuration audits (Functional/Physical) and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMPs).
  • Coordination: Support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Technical Review Boards (TRBs).

     

Required Skills and/or Experience:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree (or 3–5 years of relevant experience). Key requirements include experience with Navy modernization processes, Proficiency in databases like CDMD-OA, MBPS, or CMPro, and managing Technical Data Packages (TDPs) and Engineering Changes.
