Position: Assessment Specialist
Hourly Pay Range: $25–$30 per hour
Location: This position is remote unless you reside within a 40-minute commute to a FlexTG office.
Travel Requirements: Frequent travel is required, including up to 75% out-of-state overnight travel per year. Candidates must be able and willing to travel regularly, sometimes with continuous overnight stays.
Position Summary
The Assessment Specialist is responsible for conducting onsite evaluations of enterprise client environments. This role involves gathering detailed infrastructure, asset, and operational information through in-person site visits, interviews, and robust documentation. The data you collect is essential in supporting our internal teams to design custom solutions and deliver exceptional results for our clients. Professionalism, strong observational skills, and flexibility for frequent travel are key to success in this position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Conduct onsite assessments to document client infrastructure, assets, and operational environments.
  • Capture detailed information using observation, interviews, photography, and structured data collection methods.
  • Travel to client sites nationwide for physical walkthroughs and information gathering.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define the assessment scope and ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, detailed reports, and concise summaries of findings.
  • Communicate effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Manage time and travel schedules to meet project deadlines and client expectations.
  • Identify and escalate any issues or risks identified during assessments.
  • Represent FlexTG professionally in all client interactions.
  • Up to 50% out-of-state overnight travel required per quarter.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in conducting site visits, audits, or field assessments.
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, including experience interacting with C-suite executives.
  • Ability to multitask, independently manage assignments, and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
  • Excellent observational and documentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently and adapt to varied client environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Familiarity with office technology environments, including printers, copiers, and multifunction devices.
  • Experience with structured data collection tools or mobile documentation platforms.
  • Background supporting pre-sales, sales, or solution design teams.
