🚀 THE ROLE

We’re looking for a freelance Social Content Creator to help build SOLSKIN into one of the most talked-about beauty brands on TikTok and Instagram.

This is not a “post three times a week” role.

This is for someone who understands internet culture, knows how to create disruptive content that performs organically, and can build stories around products, launches, creators, and community.

You’ll create social-first content designed for:

  • 📈 Reach
  • 👀 Attention
  • 💬 Engagement
  • 🚀 Virality

  • 🌍 Cultural relevance

You’ll be creating across:

  • TikTok
  • Instagram Reels
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Creator and UGC campaigns

🎬 Create content people want to watch

  • Shoot and edit high-performing short-form content for SOLSKIN social channels
  • Turn products into stories, hooks, humour, routines, reactions, transformations, creator moments, and trend-led content
  • Create videos that feel native to TikTok and Instagram rather than traditional ads
  • Develop UGC-style concepts designed to drive shares, saves, comments, and conversions
  • Test formats, hooks, trends, and creative ideas quickly and consistently

📈 Help shape the brand socially

You’ll help build content strategies that feel entertaining, authentic, and culturally relevant.

That includes:

  • Story-led content
  • TikTok-first concepts
  • Trend adaptation
  • Viral formats
  • YouTube Shorts content
  • Behind-the-scenes content
  • Creator collaborations
  • Product integration that never feels overly “ad-like”

🔥 Own moments that matter

You’ll help creatively lead:

  • Viral social activations

  • Brief creators and UGC talent
  • Help direct shoots and creator content
  • Source references, hooks, and content ideas

  • Lives on TikTok and Instagram and genuinely understands what makes content perform organically
  • Thinks naturally in hooks, retention, engagement, and shareability
  • Loves experimenting with formats, locations, trends, and creative ideas
  • Feels confident on camera and brings personality into content
  • Understands trends but improves on them instead of copying them
  • Thrives with autonomy, moves quickly, and doesn’t need hand-holding
  • Constantly looks for ways brands can become part of wider cultural conversations online

✅ MUST HAVE

  • Strong portfolio of TikTok, Instagram Reels, or short-form video content
  • Proven examples of generating reach, engagement, audience growth, or sales through content
  • Strong editing skills using CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar tools
  • Excellent creative instincts
  • Experience creating social-first content for brands, creators, or personal platforms
  • Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram trends, hooks, retention, and analytics
  • Comfortable filming yourself and others on camera
  • Ability to move quickly, test ideas fast, and iterate aggressively

🏡 WORKING SETUP

  • Freelance / contract basis
  • Contract equivalent of approximately £30,000 annually, depending on the agreed scope and working days
  • Flexible working structure
  • Hybrid setup (remote, London shooting, Surbiton office)
