Compensation: Starting pay at $55,000, with final compensation based on skills, experience, and qualifications. (Paid Weekly)

Role Summary
The Commercial Estimator is responsible for analyzing construction documents, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, and supporting business development through disciplined bidding and strong general contractor relationships. This role evaluates materials, labor, and equipment requirements to develop complete project budgets, while identifying value-engineering opportunities to maximize project profitability. The Estimator works closely with Project Managers and Field Leadership to ensure seamless handoff from bid to execution, consistently follows up on submitted proposals, and plays a key role in securing new work for the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints and architectural drawings, and the general specifications of this type of work.
- Preparing estimates and maximizing effectiveness through project assessment.
- Evaluates materials to purchase by cost changes and additions.
- Submits 100% of bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
- Selling projects and building general contractor relationships.
- Compiling and reviewing submittals, materials procurement, and labor and equipment management on multiple projects.
- Able to work closely with project foremen and project managers.
- Include value-engineering ideas on every bid.
- Consistently follows up on submitted bids and budgets with Architect and/or General Contractor to close business.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred; or Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school and two (2) years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. General knowledge in the engineering or architectural trade can be a benefit. Must have a valid driver's license.
Estimator Construction Skills and Qualifications:
Analyzing Information , Developing Budgets, Vendor Relationships, Reporting Skills, Estimating, Decision Making, Teamwork, Documentation Skills, Quality Focus, Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Office. Market relevant experience in commercial and industrial construction environment is a plus. Strong time management, detail oriented, and excellent communication skills are required.
