We are looking for professional and skilled caregivers to care for individuals with developmental disabilities in a Medical Group Home setting. We provide quality care for our members in a comfortable and home environment. The ideal candidate is patient, friendly, has excellent communication skills and is most of all compassionate. Direct Care Staff Responsibilities:
· Monitor and ensure the health and safety of all individuals living in the home.
· Assist with ADL’s (grooming, hygiene, toileting, transfer etc.)
· Prepare all necessary meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks etc.).
· Transport individual to appointments, visits, and activities/community events.
· Implement HAB objectives/goals as agreed upon by the ISP team.
· When applicable implement behavior building plans.
· Actively interact with individuals in the home throughout your shift.
· Complete all required Documentation before leaving shift.
· Assist with preparing monthly activity calendar and weekly menus.
· Ensure the home is clean and in good repair.
· Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Clear criminal and central registry background check (Required)
2. At least 18 years of age
3. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (Required) (Must be 21 years of age for Staff transporting Members)
4. Proficient with the English language (written and verbal)
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma, and minimum one-year experience in the DDD or Behavioral Health Field.
Must have or are willing to obtain Article 9, Prevention and Support, CPR and First Aid certifications.
