  • DESCRIPTION OF POSITION




    • The Certified Surgical Technologist is responsible for the care and use of instruments in the operating room. This position requires on call rotation with 60 minute response time.

  • QUALIFICATIONS





    •  


      Professional/Educational





      • Diploma from an accredited surgical technology program.






      • Currently certified by the National Board of Surgical Technology or National Center for Competency Testing as a Surgical Technologist.




      • Experience, six months to one year preferred.



      • Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).



      • Basic computer skills.



      • Knowledge of principles of asepsis



      • DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.

      • Evidence of good health, grooming and professional conduct.



      • Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others.



      • Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty.



      • Ability to follow directions accurately.



      • Willingness to participate in call schedule and work irregular hours as necessary.









Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
