Position Summary:
The GSW II will assist the Facilities Department with cleaning and maintaining all Philabundance locations.
The GSW II role is key to ensuring our facilities are clean, safe, and presentable for staff as well as visitors and proactively. Focuses on day to day needs and manages special projects.
Duties will include collecting recycling and trash containers and sort in appropriate dumpsters; shredding cardboard into packing dunnage for multiple warehouse areas; cleaning the designated warehouse area daily; riding pack mule/EZ go cart (non-forklift, training provided); cleaning designated areas at the three locations.
A strong sense of urgency to maintain a professional environment as well as excellent attention to detail is required to be successful in this role.
The Facilities Associate II is accountable for working as a collaborative team member of the facilities team and as a support resource for all buildings. Being a reliable resource is critical to the success of this role.

Primary Responsibilities:
- General facilities and building management responsibilities which include but are not limited to, ensure the environment is clean and orderly.
- Proactively plans and prepares for events, seasonal requirements and ensures appropriate standards and processes are followed.
- Provides insight to facilities regarding building needs, lights, equipment, tools, and safety situations.
- Cleaning before and after, at times during, for special events.
- Cleaning and maintaining restrooms and break rooms
- Cleaning carpets and hard surface floors by vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping
- Dusting furniture, pictures, ventilation, lights, and blinds
- Emptying wastebaskets on a timely basis.
- Cleaning windows, windowsills, and surrounding walls.
- Cleaning high and low spaces in a distribution center or warehouse environment
- Collect recycling and trash, and sort in the appropriate dumpsters
- Shredding cardboard into packing dunnage
- Cleaning the warehouse area daily which includes but is not limited to tables, all surfaces, walls, floors, and
- Leverage the pack mule/EZ go cart (non-forklift), ability to drive and be safe.
- Provide customer service to Philabundance, special events, and agencies.
- Recognize facility needs and report or escalate needs to facilities for maintenance and repairs.
- Provide good customer service; communicate with customers/volunteers in a courteous manner and respect agency personnel and clientele.
- Support and manage performance to Philabundance Pillars, culture focus on People, Partnerships, Professionalism, and Progress.
Note: This role requires the successful completion of a drug test and background check. Light travel is required for this role. If using company vehicles; must meet requirements, must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
