Overview
The ideal candidate will help ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of products throughout our warehouse and overnight transfer operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliable execution of loading and staging tasks, and a commitment to handling all grocery products with care. As a CDL General Warehouse and Carton Prep Overnight Driver, you play a key role in keeping our supply chain running smoothly and supporting our promise of delivering fresh, quality groceries to customers across the PNW.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced position involving routine warehouse duties, carton preparation, safe operation of commercial vehicles, and timely transfers between facilities. You’ll be responsible for verifying load accuracy, following all food-handling and safety procedures, and maintaining consistent documentation to ensure every product reaches the next stage of delivery in excellent condition.
Shift Schedule
Monday - Saturday, 10pm - 6:30am
What does your day look like?
- Monitor and document warehouse, loading, and transfer activities to ensure adherence to safety, food-handling, and operational standards.
- Perform routine inspections on pallets, cartons, transport equipment, and vehicle loads to ensure accuracy, cleanliness, and overall product quality.
- Identify and report any damaged goods, safety concerns, equipment issues, or deviations from standard warehouse and transportation procedures.
- Verify product integrity and proper temperature control during loading, staging, and transport, ensuring all items remain safe and compliant.
- Work closely with Warehouse, Transportation, and Operations teams to communicate issues and support consistent, efficient overnight transfers.
- Complete required logs, load sheets, pre-trip/post-trip inspections, and other documentation accurately and on time.
- Follow all food-handling rules, warehouse safety protocols, GMP-aligned practices, and DOT requirements to maintain a safe working and driving environment.
- Collaborate effectively across teams to support smooth handoffs, accurate product flow, and timely deliveries.
- Uphold the company’s core values, professionalism, and commitment to reliability, safety, and service in every aspect of the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with management & colleagues
- Must be able to use a pallet jack (or have the ability to use one once trained)
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must have the ability to operate a forklift (or have the ability to use one once trained)
- Must have a valid CDL Class A License
- Must have a valid DOT medical card.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
- Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and all food safety protocols.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Oral and written fluency in the English language.
Working Conditions.
This position will work in a food production or warehouse environment with recurring exposure to moderate risks, which require exceptional safety and health precautions and the use of personal protective equipment. The position requires physical assertion, working in wet and confined spaces,
equipment noise, areas with heights, freezer and cold-controlled storage, non-climate-controlled areas, and moving equipment.
• Constantly bending, stooping, standing, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements; positioning self in the work environment,
• Frequently operates computers and other plant operations and warehouse equipment,
• Frequent reaching, gripping, and moving with arms and hands,
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication; frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions,
• Must be able to detect objects at a distance,
• Frequently and will lift/carry and push/pull objects weighing between 50lbs – wheeled troughs weighing several hundred pounds,
• Use of fall protection while climbing tanker ladders.
This is a safety-sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
