Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.


 

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.


Experience Requirement:

  • Ten years of experience in human resources.
  • Three years of experience as a supervisor or manager.


Licensure/Certification Requirement:

SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.



Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the daily operations of frontline human resources personnel.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to comprehend and implement the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly concerning current and future talent requirements, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provide support and guidance to HR generalists, management, and other staff on complex, specialized, and sensitive inquiries and issues; administer routine tasks in delicate situations such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of misconduct, and executing terminations.
  • Oversee the talent acquisition process, including the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified candidates for all levels, encompassing clinical and professional roles; work in conjunction with departmental managers to ascertain the skills and competencies required for vacancies.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; conduct research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Develop and implement learning and development programs and initiatives that offer internal growth opportunities for employees.
  • Supervise employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Supervision Provided by this Job:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department. 
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.  
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 

 

Physical Demands/Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
