This position is remote but requires extensive travel, with up to 70% of your time spent visiting SCAH facilities and attending sponsored events. Candidates must prepare to travel frequently to various locations, as on-site presence is critical to the role’s responsibilities listed below.

  

Regional Operations Partnership 

  • Direct support of approximately 10-15 SCAH facilities or up to 2 regions
  • Conduct routine meetings with regional operations leads to ensure coordination and communication of clinical-quality initiatives  
  • Present clinical data for regional MORs 
  • Participate in MAP process at the facility level 

 Accreditation and Regulatory Readiness Support 

  • Assist with access to NHSN, DPH regulatory reporting platforms, etc. 
  • Ensure access/use of SCT core compli Regulatory & Accreditation support platform  
  • Act as liaison with SCAH teammates in and outside group to consult and share resources, policies and tools and knowledge  
  • Forward new requirements, bills, etc. from compliance to facilities  
  • Assist with coordination of activities for facilities adopting MCN policy platform 

Safety Event Management 

  • Assist/Activate Apparent Cause Analysis (ACA) Process 
  • Assist/Activate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process  – provide guidance for entering and closing out RCA files 
  • Educate facility leaders on strong and sustainable action items to drive patient safety. 
  • Review all submitted variances to ensure appropriate classification and severity level assignment.  Follow up with facility leaders to educate and support corrections. 
  • Provide guidance for state reportability and confirm completion where applicable. 
  • Assist as needed with compiling/analyzing safety event data. 
  • Consider events requiring potential safety event alerts/broader notification across system. Develop content for safety alerts. 

Ongoing Quality and Performance Improvement 

  • Educate facility CLT on Insight Clinical Dashboards, Proactive Risk Assessment reports, clinical outcomes, Clinical Quality Index, etc. Provide reminders and periodic checks. 
  • Ensure facility CLT knowledge of yearly requirement for PI projects – provide education when applicable. 
  • Provide review and consult on facility Quality/Performance Improvement/Infection Control plans 
  • Provide guidance and education on setting up Quality Program/Infection Control Program with access to clinical toolkits 
  • Assist with access to resources (successfully completed PI projects, educational material on ten-step process, etc.) and provide educational series as applicable 
  • Partner with Regional Quality Leaders to drive regional clinical quality engagement  

CEO and Clinical Leadership Support 

  • Partnered/leveraged in the interview process for new clinical leaders and CEOs 
  • Provide support to DON/new Clinical Leader post & leader orientation with regular cadence of follow-ups and review of outstanding items 
  • Partner with facility leadership to address culture of safety opportunities and help identify action plans where needed to drive sustainable change 
  • Provide onsite support to help facility CLT navigate process improvement and drive teammate buy in. 
  • Field questions around building performance improvement plans for clinical teammates. 
  • Leadership/supervisor experience with oversight of daily operations, managing relationships and change management in healthcare setting preferred.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse with training and experience working in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) industry preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of select Microsoft Office applications; i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint or other database management applications. 
  • Requires public speaking skills and ability to deliver effective presentations and education to groups of clinicians and SCAH Leaders. 
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Candidates residing in OR, WA, CA or adjacent preferred due to proximity to service area.
