The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth)-McGovern Medical School, Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging, is seeking applicants for a full time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, Non-Tenure Clinical level in the Section of Cardiothoracic Imaging.
Memorial Hermann Hospital-Texas Medical Center is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
Our medical center is very active in pulmonary medicine, oncology, cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. There are heart failure programs, cardiac transplantations, aortic surgeries and a very active pulmonary division with a low dose lung cancer screening program and a clinic for interstitial lung diseases.
Anyone interested in this position must also enjoy teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The job duties involve clinical and teaching responsibilities in the Section of Cardiothoracic Imaging. You will be responsible for performing and interpreting Cardiothoracic imaging, supporting the department's teaching activities as well as professional activities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be board certified by the American Board of Radiology or board eligible; fellowship training in thoracic and/or cardiothoracic imaging (including cardiac CT and MR) is preferred but not required. Evidence of scholarly pursuits is desirable. Texas Medical license or ability to obtain.
