Job Description

We
are looking for a Senior Program Manager (SPM) to lead field operations and
program delivery across assigned districts in Uttar Pradesh. The SPM will
manage a team of Program Managers and District Coordinators, drive scale and
quality of our Teacher Professional Development (TPD) and Parent Program (PP)
verticals, and play a key role in government engagement and institutional
handover.

This
is a hybrid role — you will split time between field presence in UP districts
and remote coordination. It demands someone who is equally comfortable in an
Anganwadi centre and a government review meeting.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

      Own end-to-end program
delivery across launch and mature districts — covering AWW mapping, beat
coverage, activation, and training completion targets.

Lead and mentor a team of
Program Managers and District Coordinators; build their capacity through
structured skill-building and regular coaching.

      Drive learning outcome
improvement for AWWs — including KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice)
assessments in digital literacy, SEL, and early numeracy.

      Manage government
relationships at the district and block level; support champion officer
engagement and work toward program institutionalisation.

      Ensure quality of parent
program delivery — coverage, activation, and parent learning engagement
metrics.

      Coordinate with central
teams (Product, Finance, HR) as a SPOC for cross-functional initiatives, funder
visits, and new pilots.

      Monitor group activity and
content hygiene across TP WhatsApp groups; ensure DC-level monitoring is
rigorous and consistent.

      Deliver monthly funder
reports, maintain program documentation, and contribute to organisational
learning.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply
via Rocket Learning's listing on ZOHO Recruit. Please include a brief cover
note (3–5 lines) on why this role and why now. Applications without a cover
note will not be reviewed.

Rocket Learning is an equal opportunity employer. We
actively encourage applications from women, candidates from underrepresented
communities, and individuals with lived experience of the communities we serve

Requirements

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves

      5+ years of experience in
program management, preferably in education, social impact, or development
sector.

      Proven ability to manage
field teams and deliver measurable outcomes in a high-volume, multi-district
context.

      Strong communication skills
— written, verbal, and on Slack/digital tools — with a bias for visibility and
proactive updates.

      Comfort working directly
with government officials, AWWs, and community stakeholders.

      Ability to operate
independently in the field while staying tightly aligned with remote
leadership.

      Willingness to be based in
or travel frequently across UP districts (including Varanasi, Lucknow, Mathura,
and others).

Good to Have

      Prior experience with ICDS,
Anganwadi systems, or early childhood education programs.

      Familiarity with
tech-enabled community programs or WhatsApp-based content delivery.

      Experience with
OKR/KRA-based performance management.

      Hindi proficiency — spoken
and written.

Benefits

WHAT WE OFFER

      A high-ownership,
high-impact role at the intersection of technology, education, and government
systems.

      A collaborative,
mission-driven team that operates with speed, trust, and a deep commitment to
learning.

      Competitive nonprofit
compensation with performance-linked growth.

      Hybrid flexibility — field
presence balanced with remote work.

      Direct exposure to
state-level government partnerships and funder relationships.
