Objectives of this Role

  • Assist in developing and executing employee procedures and policies, providing guidance for business operations.
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
  • Assist in administering benefits and employee performance programs.
  • Suggest new procedures to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization, and to improve employee experience.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate a smooth new hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees related to benefits, absence and health issues and other employee questions.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting phone interviews, reference checks, issuing job offers and attending career fairs.
  • Report on general HR activities to the head of the HR department.
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Preforms other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, a related field, or equivalent work experience in Human Resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, cultural awareness.
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and a general understanding of HR procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in an HR department.
  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset.
  • Knowledge of HR federal and state laws and regulations.
