Job Description

Description:

Assist professors with laboratory experiments, grade assignments, ensure the lab is neat and organized before and after the lab, assist the lab manager in preparing laboratory materials, enforce laboratory rules, mentor and guide students in and out of the lab. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for and help set up lab before lab time
  • Assist instructor and answer questions during lab
  • Grade lab assignments (possible)
  • Clean up after lab and restock
  • Help lab manager and instructors with miscellaneous tasks
  • Attend weekly lab preparatory meetings

Requirements:

  • Must be a full-time student at Ursinus College
  • Enthusiasm
  • Punctuality
  • Reliability
  • Responsiveness via email 
  • Ability to attend lab for entire period each week during the semester
  • Familiarity with Canvas course sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have completed PHYS-121 and PHYS-122, however, this is up to the hiring professor. 
  • Some familiarity with computing, Python, Excel would be great but is not required.
