Job Title: SE WLC Marketing Intern
Summary:
The Weinstein Learning Center is seeking a highly motivated and creative college student to support our marketing efforts. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in managing social media content, offering the opportunity to develop practical marketing skills and contribute directly to the growth of our learning center. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines for content publishing.
Starting pay: $14.75/hr
Specific Duties:
Social Media Management: Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.) including writing captions and creating graphics (using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools).
Content Creation: Contribute to the development of marketing materials, including blog posts, website updates, email newsletters, and flyers.
Graphic Design: Assist with the creation of visually appealing marketing materials using design software (Adobe, Canva, etc.). Basic graphic design skills are preferred, but training can be provided.
Website Maintenance: Assist with updating the learning center's website content, as necessary.
Event Support: Assist with the planning and execution of marketing events and promotional activities.
Market Research and Admin: Conduct basic market research to identify trends and opportunities when necessary. Assist with general admin tasks as needed.
Requirements:
Available to work 5-10 hours a week
Complete mandatory training for WLC employment
Recommendations
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled at the University of Richmond as a full-time student.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing principles.
Experience with graphic design software, such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
