Schedule: Monday � Friday, 8:00 a.m. � 4:00 p.m.

Pay Rate: $55,000-$57,000 Annually

Our focus is supporting individuals by ways of residential housing, mental health and clinical services, and immersing our participants in community engagement. Working closely with the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and the Office of Mental Health, we support 27 housing locations and 3 administrative buildings.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive employee to train staff on positive behavioral strategies and implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of these strategies for families and youth, as well as assist the director with monitoring behavioral data and implementation of treatment and behavioral plans if applicable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Possess a strong understanding of behavioral functions, replacement behaviors, and proactive strategies
  • Observe behaviors, complete functional behavioral assessments (FBA), and complete behavior intervention plans, which include behavior strategies across a broad range of behaviors and behavioral intensity
  • Maintain and update plans as needed, on at least an annual basis; including proactive, active, and reactive, strategies
  • Provide consultation and support to individuals, families, and planning teams proactively, and during times of crisis
  • Respond to crisis situations by using good judgement through prevention, intervention, resolution, and reporting, to ensure the safety and well-being of the participant
  • Provide person-centered, quality, services
  • Follow Agency standards and procedures
  • Perform Other Duties as Assigned

Education & Experience

Master�s degree in human services, or a related field, required. Must be RBT certified, or obtain certification within 6 months, after hire. Experience working with children with I/DD and/or a mental health diagnosis, preferred. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team and across systems, preferred.

Conditions of Employment

Must have a valid NYS Driver License in accordance with the Agency Vehicle and Driving policy and transportation necessary to meet program needs.
