Duties & Responsibilities




  • Responsible for providing supervision of activities within Patient Placement ensuring that the activities of the Patient Placement staff are dedicated to managing patient flow within the health system as it relates to admitted patients.



Qualifications




  • SC RN license, ACLS certification, and BSN degree required.

  • Master's degree preferred. At least five years of clinical experience required, critical care experience preferred. Experience with computer systems including electronic order entry, bed status systems, and nursing documentation systems required.

  • Experience in managing patient throughput or patient placement preferred. 

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, negotation, and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to understand the global view of patient flow.

  • Broad clinical knowledge.
