First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Head Teller at the Timberlane Branch located in El Dorado, Arkansas.

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Branch Manager in all phases of branch operations. Adhere to bank policies and procedures along with complying with compliance regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  High school or GED required. One to two years related experience or training. Prior teller experience and knowledge of bank products required. Minimum of one year customer service and teller/cash handling experience.

COMPLEXITY:  Work that is moderately difficult and involved, requiring adaptation and interpretation of established practices and procedures to cover problems and situations to which their application is not clearly defined.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Performs duties and responsibilities of the branch manager and assistant branch manager in their absence; provides on-the-job-training for tellers on an as-needed basis; assist tellers in locating cash discrepancies; manages unusual window transactions and answers difficult customer questions; opens and closes the branch; maintains and stays abreast of security policies and procedures; receives checks and cash for deposit to accounts; verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement, and enters deposits into computer records; cross-sells bank products and services; maintains knowledge of branch policies and procedures with respect to approving checks and overrides and as an authorized check signer; processes teller work and ATM servicing; opens new accounts and insures compliance with CIP regulations (BSA), Reg. DD, IRS guidelines; ensure employees and self-comply with all regulations such as AML, BSA CIP, Reg. CC, Reg. E and CRA and all other regulations to ensure 100% compliance; process night deposit and insure proper controls; and other duties as assigned by management.

OTHER SKILL AND ABILITIES: Strong problem solving skills and attention to details; be an effective role model, a team leader and able to motivate staff to be team players at all times; good communication skills; able to multi-task; excellent organization skills and ability to work under pressure and strict time deadlines. Will require local travel.
