Reporting to the Sanitation Manager, the sanitation worker is primarily responsible for sanitizing/cleaning the facility and production equipment as needed. In addition, this position has a basic understanding of the equipment’s function along with basic chemical applications awareness and can perform rudimentary equipment tear downs.
Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate must be versatile, ready to make changes in scheduled cleaning events due to production demands.
- Employee must be able to work with a variety of chemicals and personal protective gear (PPE)
- Clean floors, walls, windows, and ceiling throughout the plant.
- Perform general sanitation of area by cleaning exterior of equipment.
- Employee must be capable of cleaning specific pieces of equipment, able to run CIP for pasteurization equipment.
- The employee must understand and accept to carry out the concept of production quality, food safety and chemical awareness.
- Follows facilities policies and SOP’s to ensure food safety and quality.
- Demonstrate high degree of ownership for product quality, understanding of production schedules and work instructions.
- Perform other tasks as negotiated with supervisor.
