Overview:

Location: Quincy, IL
Pay Range: $16.12 - $24.18 per hour | Based on Relevant Experience
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (some variability based on departmental needs)

 

About the Role
As a Medical Assistant at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional healthcare services within our Urology department. This position involves assisting providers with a variety of urologic procedures and routine office care. You will work closely with the care team to ensure efficient patient visits, quality care, and a supportive, respectful environment for patients.

 

Primary Responsibilities

Escort patients to examination rooms, prepare them for visits, and accurately record vital signs and patient information. Assist providers with urologic procedures such as catheter placements, bladder scans, cystoscopy support, and minor in-office treatments. Provide patient education on treatment plans, medications, and pre- and post-procedure care.

 

Coordinate follow-up care, schedule testing, and communicate instructions clearly with patients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, equipment, and supplies. Serve as a patient coach, offering reassurance and maintaining patient dignity during sensitive exams and discussions.

Qualifications

  • - High school diploma or GED required.
  • - CPR certification required (available upon hire).
  • - Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • - 1–2 years of clinical experience as a CNA, PCA, or MA preferred but not required.
  • - Willingness to learn urologic procedures and expand specialty knowledge.
  • - Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and comfort working in a sensitive care environment.
