Job Description

Description

This role is responsible for day-to-day administration, reliability, and security of our on-premises and cloud infrastructure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role that involves maintaining existing systems, implementing new ones, and supporting the technological needs of a growing organization. 

Requirements

     

  • Server & Infrastructure: Manage and maintain Windows Server environments   including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file shares, and print   services. Plan and execute server upgrades, patching cycles, and hardware refreshes.
  • Microsoft 365 & Cloud: Administer Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and   Entra ID. Manage Conditional Access policies, license assignments, and tenant   security configuration. 
  • Networking: Support and   troubleshoot a multi-building campus network including managed switches, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, and VPN. Coordinate with ISPs and resolve   connectivity issues that impact operations.
  • Security: Enforce   endpoint protection, firewall policies, MFA, and access controls. Monitor   audit logs, respond to security events, and drive improvements to overall   security posture. 
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage backup infrastructure, test restore procedures   and maintain disaster recovery documentation. 
  • New Systems & Software: Research, evaluate, and implement new tools,   platforms, and software as business needs evolve. Assist with system   migrations, upgrades, and rollouts. 
  • Licensing & Asset Management: Track software licensing across the   organization. Ensure compliance, manage renewals, and provide recommendations   on cost-effective licensing strategies. 
  • AI & Emerging Technology: Support the adoption and integration of AI tools and   workflows as directed by IT management. Maintain a willingness to learn and   apply new technologies as they are introduced. 
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation for systems,   configurations, procedures, and network topology.
  • Other IT and technical duties as assigned.

    

Educational   Requirements/Degree(s)

  •  3-5+ years in a systems administrator, infrastructure, or similar hands-on IT role. 

 

Job Requirements/Knowledge and   Experience

  • Solid experience with windows Server (2016-2022), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, Teams, Entra ID, and Conditional Access.
  • Experience managing firewalls (SonicWall or similar) and understanding of network security fundamentals.
  • Comfortable with enterprise networking concepts including VLANS, routing, managed switches, and wireless.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
  • Consistent documentation habits and attention to detail.
  • Customer service mindset and the ability to work well within a high-performing team are crucial. 
  • Experience supporting IT in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment. 
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and the teams that rely on them. 
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for task automation. 
  • Hands-on experience with MDM platforms for managing mobile device fleets. 
  • Exposure to RMM, ITSM, or auditing and compliance tools. 
  • Experience with VoIP or Teams Calling administration.
