Central States Bus Sales is currently seeking a Technical Advisor for our Fenton, Missouri location. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in building a career in the passenger transportation vehicle industry. The qualified candidate will be a results-oriented, hard-working individual, willing to travel and able to build long-term relationships.


Responsibilities:

Develop and administer the technical training program for our service department personnel, customer base, 3rd party service shops, and any others necessary to support our products.

It is the responsibility of each employee that all tasks be conducted in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state and federal safety and health regulations and standards, and with any special safety concerns identified by Central States Bus Sales, Inc. for use in a particular area or with a client.

Responsibilities:

Develop and administer the technical training program for our service department personnel, customer base, 3rd party service shops, and any others necessary to support our products.

Schedule, organize, and facilitate all in-shop and customer workshops/training seminars that may need to take place at all company and customer locations.

Provide small- and large-scale training to all parties.

Create “Tech Tips” for website and customers, through use of video, pictorial or written documents.

Administer the company-wide Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) program for CDL licensure.

Train all parties how to access and interpret wiring schematics and all service information as needed.

Train all parties to use diagnostic tools to gather and interpret fault codes along with the updating, recalibrating, and resetting of vehicle onboard modules, dashes, and other electronic equipment.                                                                                                          

Assist in maintaining the network of 3rd party Warranty Authorized Service Centers.  Sustain and improve the general health and robustness of the service center network.  Identify, vet, onboard, and train new service centers.  Write, maintain, and distribute filing/approval protocol instructions as necessary.

Occasional travel to branches, 3rd party shops, and customer locations to perform training.

Track employee certifications and attendance at training sessions.

Function as overflow backup to answer customer calls to troubleshoot and diagnose vehicles needing repair.  Log case in NetSuite or forward call as appropriate.

Perform other duties as assigned.
