Are you a student with strong analytical skills and an interest in finance, operations, and data-driven decision-making? Hunter Douglas, the world leader in window coverings and a private-equity-backed multinational, is offering a 6-month internship within our EMEA Legal team starting July 2026.

This role sits within our Legal Operations function and will play a key role in helping the team forecast, track, and manage legal spend across the region.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the tracking and monitoring of legal spend across EMEA, including external counsel and project-related costs
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining legal budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
  • Work with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Procurement) to ensure accurate and timely reporting of spend
  • Help implement and maintain simple, effective tools and dashboards for tracking legal costs
  • Review invoices and support the validation and allocation of external legal fees
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improved cost control and efficiency
  • Support vendor management activities, including maintaining records of external counsel engagements
  • Contribute to broader Legal Operations initiatives, including process improvement and reporting

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate programme in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with data and spreadsheets
  • High attention to detail and a structured, methodical way of working
  • Comfortable with challenging data, identifying inconsistencies, and following through to resolution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365; experience with data visualisation tools is a plus
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work across functions
  • Fluent in English; other European languages are an advantage
