The Data Import Specialist is to join our HRIS DWC Team (Data and Integrations). In this position, you will work with a team of highly skilled consultants, managers, developers and subject matter experts. With general direction and some latitude for independent judgment and discretion, this position is responsible for data analysis and technical support for inbound and outbound data quality. You will be supporting multiple integration initiatives for NEOGOV clients and work cross functionally with internal and external partners.

Position Duties

  • Evaluates and monitors data quality including exception and error handling at a complex level. Research data discrepancies and address issues by working with our clients and cross functional partners to resolve errors/issues.
  • Communicates with internal and external clients and vendors to provide support regarding file specifications and data quality issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Develops, maintains and provides documentation on processes, scripts and case resolution procedures for future reference or use.
  • Provides guidance and training for new team members on file processing, exception and error handling.
  • Acquires/enhances application expertise to become more knowledgeable about evolving system analysis, programming and database technology. This may be accomplished by attending training, seminars and interfacing with senior level practitioners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze and monitor data updates to ensure integrity of data, working with electronic files

  • Experienced working in a client facing environment

  • Able to drive results and display a sense of urgency

  • Able to interact effectively with team members, clients, developers and other staff

  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong customer service orientation

  • Able to adapt to the changing demands of business

  • Advanced analytical thinker with the ability to quickly assess client and systems issues

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a closely related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • One to three years of technical work experience involving data management/integrations.

  • Experience with working with public sector customer preferred but not required

  • Experience with Single Sign-On, sFTP and APIs

  • Experience building and mapping data file imports & exports

  • Experience with HR and/or TMS software and relative processes referred

  • Experience with Saas technology model

  • Familiarity with HRIS, G/L, Payroll, Time/Attendance and 834 integrations strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with SQL is a plus
