Schedule: This position is part of a strong nurse management team, utilizing a very high ratio of nurse managers to residents to oversee a small skilled nursing unit within a continuing care retirement community. The role is primarily weekdays, with a predictable on-call rotation, and flexibility to balance hours during the week.
Sign-on Bonus: This position offers a sign on bonus of $5,000.

Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing to join our team! The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the nursing function in the Continuing Care Retirement Community.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising all nursing staff and ensuring staff provides quality resident care that meets or exceeds regulatory standards.
- Oversees nursing department budget.
- Oversees and manages nurse leadership positions in the community.
- May assist with duties of other nurse leadership positions as needed.
- Assists with hiring and onboarding, training, development and retention of nursing staff.
- May be designated to assume responsibilities of daily operations of the facility in the Executive Director's absence.
- Communicates with physicians, residents, and family members regarding resident health and plan of care.
- Ensures nursing staff are trained on new policies and procedures.
- Participates in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
- Completes reports and audits in a timely manner.
- Ensures nursing documentation and assessments are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with community policies.
- Reviews restorative nursing procedures for each resident so as to achieve the highest possible degree of function, self-care, and independence based on resident choice, where practical, in collaboration with the MDS Coordinator.
- Oversees and participates in nursing on-call rotation.
- Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
