Summary: This role serves as a key link between customers and engineering teams by gathering and translating mechanical, electrical, and software requirements into product specifications and features. It involves supporting the full product lifecycle, including concept development, testing, system integration, troubleshooting, and resolving performance or reliability issues. The position also requires creating and maintaining technical documentation, training materials, and customer communications while managing project plans and timelines.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:
• Collect and interpret customer mechanical, electrical, and software requirements for new business opportunities and customer requests
• Define internal specifications for new hardware and software product features based on customer’s requirements
• Test and evaluate new product features to ensure customer’s requirements and expectations are achieved
• Develop concepts and simulations for new products and / or features
• Provide on-site system integration support and training for customer evaluations and first-time product installations
• Provide timely and accurate responses to customer-driven information and action requests
• Understand root cause and drive resolution of product issues/problems/inquiries with respect to performance and reliability
• Plan, design, research, write, a range of documents, including product manuals, application notes, technical presentations, marketing material, software release notes, technical support bulletins, product change notices, training material, and videos
• Maintain currency and accuracy of all documentation
• Develop project plans and timelines
• Design custom mechanical parts and assemblies
• Regularly participate in product / project team meetings
Skills Required:
• Fully fluent in both written and spoken English
• Multi-disciplined software proficiency (CAD, SolidWorks, MS Office suite, Adobe Professional suite, Python, XML)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and technical specifications
• Demonstrates organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
• Excellent interviewing skills to elicit information from a variety of engineering resources
• Ability to quickly grasp and communicate technical concepts
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving proficiency
• Ability to succeed with minimal resources and minimal supervision
• Team and customer-oriented person with professional demeanor
Experience Required:
• 1-5 years relevant experience preferred
Other Requirements:
• Required approx. 20% travel to supplier locations which include local, domestic and international locations
• Work involves a mix of office and shop floor environments; may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, and lifting/moving up to 25 pounds for hardware support tasks.
Education Required:
• MS or BS in robotics, mechanical, electrical engineering, or computer science (robotics / mechatronics experience preferred)
Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $90k to $110k. The actual pay offered will be determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, job-related knowledge, internal equity, and geographical location.
