LSSI is hiring a full-time Custodian. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the building and/or surrounding areas by performing a variety of tasks including cleaning, sanitizing, and minor repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors.
Remove clutter and dust furniture and surfaces.
Clean windows and mirrors.
Make minor repairs including but not limited to replacing light bulbs.
Ensure proper disposal of trash, rubbish, and refuse including emptying recycle bins.
Replenish restroom supplies.
Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity,
treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations
and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.

Complete minor maintenance related to appliances and/or grounds as needed.
Assist with set up and/or breakdown of events as needed.
Respond to all incoming correspondence and questions in a timely manner; including but not limited to inquiries received via email, telephone, text message, and fax.
Ensure reasonable measures are taken to protect confidential and/or sensitive information as well as ensuring the security of all LSSI systems is maintained.
Responsible for completing all required training assignments as well as complying with the related organizational, administrative, and programmatic policies.
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background check clearance required.
One (1) to two (2) years of custodial (or janitorial) experience required.
Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in
writing.
Excellent organization and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
(Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
Access to reliable transportation required.
Valid driver's license, in good standing for the state of residency preferred.
Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage preferred.
