We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Head Bartender to join our team at Harraseeket Inn & event House. This is a Full Time position located in Freeport, Maine. In this position you must be detail oriented, able to work on your own and in a team, and must have good communication skills.

We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Head Bartender to join our team at Harraseeket Inn & event House. This is a Full Time position located in Freeport, Maine. In this position you must be detail oriented, able to work on your own and in a team, and must have good communication skills.

 

Work Performed 

As a Head Bartender, you will form a memorable bond with our guests through food and drink suggestions, prompt and accurate service, and a great attitude. You will be a member of a cohesive team that supports each other's success in a fast-paced environment.  

  • Verify ID and age requirements 
  • Basic math necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes 
  • Lock and store all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secure bank 
  • Take food/drink orders 
  • Make food and drink recommendations to guests and answer all menu- and service-related questions 
  • Greet guests and deliver a memorable experience for all 
  • Clear, clean and sanitize tables/bar
  • Complete side-work throughout the shift, before and after 
  • Help guests with any special requests/allergy information 
  • Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order 
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned 

 

Requirements 

  • 2 or more full years employment experience in a related position (bartender, server)
  • Sufficient manual dexterity in hands to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock with or without reasonable accommodation 
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages 
  • Skill and coordination when using hands to write, pour, and carry several drinks, plates, and bowls at the same time 
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours 
  • Excellent organizational skills and show initiative with ability to work well in a team environment 
  • Possess good communication skills 
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation 
  • Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays 
  • Have proficiency in the English language
  • Must be able to work onsite at the location
  •  Hours required: Full Time 25-35 hours per week for Mid;PM;Must be flexible;Weekends;Holidays
  • Previous Bar experience required

 

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities 

  • Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French

 

Compensation 

$18 Hourly +  Tips
