Job Description

Title:  CAD Designer                                                                 Job Type:  Hourly - Non-Exempt

Department:  Systems                                                              Location:  Mira Loma, CA

Supervisor:  Systems Division Manager

SUMMARY

The CAD Designer is responsible for producing accurate, compliant, and high-quality industrial warehouse storage system drawings. This role supports pallet racking systems, vertical lift modules, structural layouts, and complete warehouse configurations for customer proposals, factory production, and municipal submittals.

The CAD Designer plays a critical role in ensuring technical accuracy, code compliance, and execution readiness. This position requires strong drafting capability, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Project Managers, engineers, sales representatives, and external stakeholders.

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop detailed AutoCAD drawings and complete design packages for pallet racking systems, vertical lift modules, mezzanines, and warehouse layouts, including elevations, sections, and technical details.
  • Prepare drawings from conceptual to factory production, installation, and permit packages.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building and fire codes and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and structural engineers to align drawings with approved scope, bill of materials, and required stamped calculations.
  • Perform QA/QC review of all drawings to ensure accuracy, constructability, and adherence to company CAD standards.
  • Maintain organized digital documentation within company workflow management systems and deliver revisions as required by sales, project management, engineering, permitting agencies, or scope updates.
