$16.13 hourly.  Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.  South Area.  Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Performs entry-level paraprofessional work conducting games, special events, arts and crafts, and other group activities at a County recreation area.


REQUIREMENTS:  Some experience, paid or volunteer, in leisure activities or working with children.  Experience working with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite and Vermont Systems Rec-Trac, is preferred.  Adaptive recreation experience is preferred.  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment.  The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level I background criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (AO-5).  In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
