COMPENSATION: $67,359 to $80,831, Home Office Grade 6

THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic School Psychologist with a robust set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, and build transformative relationships.
To put it simply, you will administer psychological, cognitive, achievement and adaptive assessment tools to complete special education evaluations for students with emotional/behavior needs and provide expertise to campuses and families regarding design and implementation of emotional/behavioral supports to students as a member of our growing special education evaluation team.
THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the work and responsibilities will include:
- Administering, scoring and interpreting psychoeducational and psychological norm-referenced and qualitative assessment tools to determine initial and continued eligibility for special education services;
- Producing high quality evaluations for students that include psychoeducational and psychological assessments, reflect thoughtful analysis of the student’s strengths and weaknesses, and can be meaningfully explained to both families and other professionals;
- Participating in IEP meetings for students identified with autism or emotional disability to provide updates on progress, support with the development of behavior, social skills or counseling goals and make recommendations to the ARD Committee;
- Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and assisting with the development of Behavior Intervention Plans and Crisis Plans for special education students with significant behavioral or emotional needs;
- Completing Counseling as Related Service Evaluations, as needed;
- Collaborating in Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings to review special education referrals;
- Providing direct support and consultation for campus-based personnel and parents regarding critical cases involving students with significant emotional and behavioral needs;
- Assisting in the development of preventative behavioral programming and continuum of behavioral services provided to students with emotional and behavioral needs;
- Additional duties as assigned.

THE MUST HAVES
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in student evaluation, psychology or in another related field
- Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) licensure in the state of Texas (TSBEP)
- Ability to work outside of normal hours and on weekends
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
- Creates and maintains positive working relationships on a team and/or in a highly collaborative environment

THE PERKS
- Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option or a $24 monthly option that includes $50 YES Prep Paid Health Savings Account contribution, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
