Job Summary
The Financial Aid Trainer is responsible for developing, conducting and evaluating training programs for our Financial Services Department They will ensure staff understands and follows all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and departmental procedures. They will create clear training material and collaborate with leadership to identify training needs that enhance service quality, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Financial Services department in creating the training materials, guidelines, and performance expectations for incoming financial aid staff.
Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly training schedules which coincide with enrollment periods and academic class starts
Organize and record training data and metrics to ensure consistency of training platform and appropriateness of financial aid training topics
Provide timely training to all financial service staff to ensure accurate information and provide opportunities for advancement
Consistently communicate new employee progress with hiring managers and campus leaders
Experience and Education Required
Minimum of two (2) years of finance experience, including training and compliance with Title IV regulations.
Strong Customer Service skills and ability to interact with other people and participate actively in department and staff meetings
Strong teamwork and diversity awareness and ability to recognize and welcome organization change
Organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize request and department activities
Effective communication and presentation skills (including via phone & webcam)
Experience and Education Preferred
Preferred background in Financial Aid Services in the for-profit education sector
Preferred Bachelor's Degree in a relative subject
Strong knowledge of Google suite
