The CNA/Mental Health Tech Assists professional personnel by performing patient care activities & related nonprofessional services necessary for the personal needs & comfort of patients. Helps keep the patient rooms and nursing areas organized. The Mental Health Tech is accountable to the RN, Charge Nurse, or Unit Manager and functions under the direct supervision of licensed personnel. Follows the guidelines described in the Code of Conduct Ethics and Compliance Program.
1. Prefer High School Graduate or GED.
2. Current Wyoming CNA certificate.
3. Able to withstand the stresses & demands of an active position listed in the Working Conditions Section.
4. Able to communicate & comprehend accurately & effectively in both written and spoken English.
5. Able to add, subtract, multiply & divide all units of measure: whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
6. Knowledge (through training) or experience in performing patient care activities for pediatric patients (age 0-17), adult patients ages (18-64), and geriatric patients (ages 65+).
7. Basic computer data entry skills.
8. Prefer experience in psychiatric or chemical dependency fields.
