This is a comprehensive list, but it’s currently a "wall of text" that might overwhelm a great candidate. To make this eye-catching and professional, we need to group these tasks into high-impact categories and use action-oriented language.

Here is a streamlined, modernized version of the Foreman job description.

Construction Foreman

Location: [Insert Location] | Reports to: Plant Supervisor

The Opportunity

Are you a natural leader with a "get-it-done" attitude and a deep mastery of construction techniques? As a Foreman at NRB, you are the heartbeat of the production floor. You aren’t just supervising; you are the primary driver of quality, safety, and efficiency. You will bridge the gap between complex blueprints and finished structures, leading both internal crews and subcontractors to success.

Key Responsibilities

??? Project Leadership & Execution

  • Drive the Plan: Take full ownership of the Method of Construction (MOC) plan. Partner with Plant Supervisors to develop schedules and ensure total "buy-in" and execution from your team.

  • On-Time, On-Budget: Lead the coordination, control, and execution of assigned projects to ensure they meet deadlines and financial goals without sacrificing quality.

  • The First Line of QC: Act as the primary level of Quality Control. Verify all work against specifications and drawings—checking every detail to ensure we "build it right the first time."

  • Weather Readiness: Monitor conditions and ensure all buildings are weather-tight and secure at the end of every shift.

?? Subcontractor & Crew Management

  • Primary Point of Contact: Coordinate workloads and schedules with sub-trade foremen. Balance their need for profitability with the project's need for flow and efficiency.

  • Strategic Deployment: Assess job priorities and assign the right people to the right tasks.

  • Mentorship: Actively train new employees and mentor lower-level carpenters to elevate the skill level of the entire shop.

  • Clear Communication: Facilitate daily trade meetings and morning schedule huddles. Keep the Plant Supervisor informed on project hurdles and team morale.

??? Safety & Site Stewardship

  • Safety Authority: Practice and enforce a "Zero Harm" culture. You have the authority to stop any unsafe work and are responsible for leading weekly Tool Box talks.

  • Site Excellence: Lead by example in jobsite neatness and material organization, instituting NRB’s Clean Project Site principles daily.

?? Operations & Administration

  • Daily Reporting: Maintain accurate Construction Daily reports and subcontractor logs.

  • Code Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on building codes (especially for Industrial Projects) to ensure full compliance.

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in project close-outs, annual inventory, and efficiency studies to help NRB grow and improve.

Summary

Role Overview

The Construction Foreman is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the end-to-end execution of modular and building projects. Reporting directly to the Plant Supervisor, you will serve as the primary link between project planning and physical production. You are accountable for managing labor, equipment, and materials to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget, while strictly adhering to NRB’s Method of Construction (MOC) and safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

  • Supervision & Leadership: Direct daily work crews and subcontractors, ensuring optimal resource use and clear communication of tasks.

  • Project Execution: Own the MOC plan, participate in development meetings, and execute project work plans while proactively resolving roadblocks.

  • Quality & Compliance: Act as the first level of Quality Control, verifying all work against blueprints and technical specs to ensure 100% accuracy and code compliance.

  • Safety Stewardship: Enforce a "safety-first" culture by leading Tool Box talks, identifying hazards, and maintaining a clean, orderly job site.

  • Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact for sub-trades, managing their flow of work and labor levels to match the project schedule.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in building construction with at least 2 years of experience related to company-specific products/services.

  • Technical Skills: Advanced blueprint reading, proficiency with construction math (including trigonometry), and the ability to visualize complex 3D details.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor staff, negotiate with sub-trades, and manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines.

  • Physical/Travel: Ability to work in varied climates (indoor/outdoor) and noisy environments; must be willing to travel and stay overnight as required.

  • Compliance: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a professional, ethical image as a representative of the company.
