    Position Descpription:

    WHA Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) Teacher provides direct services to young children with disabilities with the primarily caseload ages 3-5 in the school setting and headstart settings.This teacher collaborates closely with the early childhood team to ensure services are covered for all ECSE students. This position focuses on early intervention, individualized instruction, and family collaboration to support the developmental needs of students across the district. The ECSE teacher will work closely with families, service providers, district, and interagency staff to assess, develop, and implement educational programs that help children succeed in their learning environments.

     

    Position Qualification & Experience:

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, or related field.

    • Current Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) License of Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or ability to obtain licensure.

    • Experience working with young children with disabilities and their families (preferred).

    • Knowledge of early intervention (Part C) and early childhood special education (Part B) practices.

     

    Wage & FLSA Status:

    Salaried-Exempt

    Minimum salary $60,000 and good benefits.
