Position Summary

Cyber Analysts support a 24/7 operation and are responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining data and information for national security. The role is tasked with identifying vulnerabilities within systems, resolving them, and then responding to cybersecurity breaches when they occur.

Job Responsibilities

  • ThreatDetectionandPrevention:Identifypotentialsecuritythreatsanddevelopstrategiestomitigaterisks.Thisincludesmonitoringnetworkactivityandanalyzingsecurityincidents.
  • SecurityImplementation:Designandimplementsecuritysystemstoprotectsensitivedataandinformationsystemsfromunauthorizedaccessandcyberattacks.
  • IncidentResponse:Respondtosecuritybreachesandincidents,conductingforensicinvestigationsanddocumentingfindingstoimprovefuturesecuritymeasures.
  • Collaboration:WorkwithITteamsandmanagementtoensurecompliancewithsecuritypoliciesandregulations,andtoeducateemployeesonbestsecuritypractices.
  • ContinuousImprovement:Stayupdatedonthelatestcybersecuritytrendsandtechnologiestoenhancetheorganization'ssecurity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, IFSM or Cybersecurity
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge in Open Systems Implementation (OSI), Layer 7 – Application and Layer 3 - Network
  • Superb understanding of ITIL 4 Foundation
  • CiscoCertifiedInternetworkExpert(CCIE)certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
  • CiscoCertifiedNetworkProfessional (CCNP)certification
  • Proficiencyinsecurityprotocols,networkarchitecture,andprogramminglanguage.Familiaritywithsecuritytoolsandsoftwareisessential.Strongproblem-solvingabilitiesandattentiontodetailtoeffectivelyanalyzesecuritythreatsandvulnerabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings and collaborate with team members and management.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required
