Job Description
Overview:

Job Title: Finance Director

Hours: Full-Time: Exempt

Department: Full Organization

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer



Responsibilities:

Collect, reconcile and review all relevant financial data and create monthly financial statements specific to a 501(c)(3) organization

 

Review internal financial files including donor tracking and grants management and ensure adequate documentation available for annual independent audit including review, recording and deletion of all capital items.

 

Prepare Budget projections including key financial performance measures as well as business and property management evaluations and forecasts

 

Assure adherence to all necessary procedures relating to finance and resource development including all local state and federal tax regulations and Boys & Girls Clubs of America annual reporting requirements

 

Understand and establish management concepts and practices that impact the effectiveness of the organization’s financial data environment and limit the exposure to risk.

 

Prepare finance reports and attend all board and committee meetings and ensure system in place to record and safely retain minutes of meetings.

 

Allocate and identify ongoing monitoring and training to ensure effective performance of all finance and office workforce

 

Ensure appropriate accuracy and reliability of system of internal controls and Boys & Girls Club technology to provide protection of corporate assets

 

All other duties related to review and reconciliation of all financial data



Qualifications:

Minimum:  Four-year degree from an accredited college/university in business/financial field. Minimum three years’ experience in nonprofit financial management preferred.
