    $15.79 base rate

     
    QUALIFICATIONS:            
    1.         Be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or equivalent diploma
    2.         Demonstrates aptitude and attitude for successful performance of the responsibilities and goals.
    3.         Able to safely and comfortable lift and hold up to 50 lbs with assistance of co-worker.
    4.         Meets all mandated health requirements.
    5.         Documentation of a clear criminal record.
    6.         Has a current ServSafe certification.
     
    RESPONSIBILITIES:  May be asked to assume any or all of the following responsibilities
    1.         Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
    2.         Ability to read recipes and cook food in large quantities.
    3.         Maintains the supply of foods offered and replenishes regularly during meal service periods.
    4.         Assists in the daily clean up of the kitchen and service areas, washing of all trays, utensils, and equipment used that day, including the hot carts and cold carts.
    5.         Performs major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms at regularly scheduled intervals as designated by the supervisor.
    6.         Assumes responsibility for proper storage and disposal of unused foods.
    7.         Complete monthly inventory and/or tally sheets.  Organize and store supplies properly.
    8.         Be able to take responsibility of kitchen when supervisor is absent as designated.
    9.         Assists in maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the cafeteria.
    10.        Knowledge of all kitchen equipment set up and break down procedures. 
    11.        Dispenses beverages, completes beverage inventories and submits beverage orders as required. 
    12.        Able to change work assignment from school to school, when so designated by the supervisor.
    13.        Accurately counts daily receipts, prepares proper documentation, and delivers as required. 
    14.        Complete proper closing procedures.
    15.        Works cooperatively with all cafeteria helpers, and other employees. 
    16.        Always enters walk in coolers and freezers with a co-worker.
    17.        Always lifts items over 50 lbs with the assistance of a co-worker.
    18.        All Classified employees are encouraged to attend up to four (4) in-service or orientation meetings annually on a voluntary basis.
     
    Evaluation:
    Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Superintendent or designee according to Board approved evaluation instrument.
