Job Description

A Survey/Staking Assistant will assist with the performance of field work on construction sites by conducting vertical and horizontal control surveys, performing data processing and analysis, and recording survey data for highway and road construction projects. This position travels to job sites at different stages of construction and works in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate ATV 4-wheeler to perform GPS survey measurements
  • Analyze survey calculations and measurements
  • Maintain logs, reports and records in relevant databases
  • Mark boundaries using stakes and strings
  • Transport survey equipment in trailer with pickup truck
  • Ensure compliance of established procedures and guidelines in surveying/construction staking activities
  • Clean tools, equipment, materials, and work area
  • Work harmoniously, cooperatively, and courteously with other at all times
  • Perform a variety of duties which may change often
  • Work within standards of accuracy
  • Repeat tasks of short duration according to set procedures and evaluate information using measurable standards
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Basic math skills for computations
  • Basic computer (specifically Excel) skills
  • Able to travel to jobsites throughout Oklahoma regularly
  • Good MVR
  • Stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Must lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • See and hear well (either naturally or with correction)
