QuickChek is in growth mode! This position prepares qualified candidates for a current or future Food Service Manager position. The Food Service Manager is an integral part of QuickChek’s Fresh Food business. Expectations include ensuring the profitability of the food service and service beverage departments through effectively and efficiently leading a team to deliver Total Customer Dedication to our customers. The Food Service Manager is responsible for achieving sales and profit goals as well as maintaining control over perishable inventory while ensuring all safety and operating procedures are followed.
Training: This position requires the successful maintenance of high-performance standards during the specified training period. This will coincide with participation in a variety of learning activities and training disciplines designed to prepare for achieving Food Service Manager “ready” status. Only those with a "ready" status will be considered for promotion to a Food Service Manager position opening. If requirements are not met following training, there will be a reevaluation and/or a demotion in position and pay.

Responsibilities:
- Lead with customer-first energy! Deliver fast, friendly service, handle concerns with care, and create a welcoming, upbeat food experience every shift.
- Learn by doing! Actively train in all aspects of food service operations, complete training programs, and build skills through hands-on experience and team support.
- Own food quality & execution! Prepare and maintain fresh, in-stock products while following all food safety, sanitation, and preparation standards.
- Support and grow the team! Help train, coach, and delegate to Team Members while fostering a fun, collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Drive operations & results! Assist with inventory, vendor check-ins, and daily production while supporting sales and profitability goals.
- Run a clean, safe, and organized space! Ensure the department meets cleanliness, safety, and uniform standards at all times.
- Stay connected & accountable! Communicate with leadership, attend trainings and meetings, follow policies, and execute tasks to successfully achieve shift and training goals.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced food service or retail environment.
- Strong customer-first mindset supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven reliability and accountability, with flexibility to work various shifts.
- Solid problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail, plus basic computer, math, and analytical skills.
- Self-driven with a strong learning orientation and ability to complete training while consistently aligning with company values.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned district as needed.
- 2+ years of food service or retail management experience required; ServSafe certification preferred.

Compensation Disclosure Statement:
Pay is from $16.75 - $17.25 / hour
