Faith Christian Academy is a Christ-centered academic institution that is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious, and faith-driven School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school, field trips, and school-sponsored activities. The ideal candidate will uphold Christian values, maintain a professional demeanor, and ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers while operating a school bus in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Safely operate a school bus along designated routes, including pick-up and drop-off at school and various off-site locations for extracurricular activities.
• Transport students to field trips, sporting events, retreats, and other off-campus school functions.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Ensure the well-being and appropriate conduct of students while on the bus, using positive discipline and communication techniques.
• Maintain accurate logs, including mileage, fuel usage etc.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with school and church staff.
• Report mechanical issues, unsafe behavior, accidents, or route changes promptly to the school’s facilities or administrative team.
• Promote Christian values through personal conduct and interactions with students, colleagues, and the school community.
• Participate in required safety training, in-service programs, and school-wide meetings and devotions as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
• Minimum age: 25 years old 
• Clean driving record with no major violations or at-fault accidents in the last three years.
• Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening in accordance with state and school policies
• Prior school bus driving or commercial driving experience is preferred
