Position Summary
North Star Oregon LLC is seeking flexible, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Day Support Activities (DSA) team in an on-call / fill-in capacity. This role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in both group and one-on-one settings through community-based and on-site activities.
This position is ideal for individuals who are adaptable and able to step in to support staffing needs as they arise, ensuring continuity of care and high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support on an as-needed / fill-in basis
- Facilitate recreational and community-based activities
- Promote engagement, choice, and participation
- Support development of daily living skills
- Implement person-centered ISP goals
- Ensure safety and supervision at all times
- Complete required documentation (attendance, notes, incidents)
- Provide transportation and supervision in the community
- Communicate effectively with team members
Schedule Expectations
- On-call / fill-in position with no guaranteed hours
- Must be available for short-notice shifts
- Flexible schedule including daytime and occasional evenings
Qualifications – Preferred
- Experience in DSA or community supports
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness)
- OIS certification (or willingness)
- Familiarity with ISP documentation

Compensation
$24.00 – $25.00 per hour (DOE)

Requirements
Qualifications - Required
Must be 18 years or older.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass a criminal background check (per Oregon DHS standards).
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
Physical ability to assist with mobility, transport, and adaptive supports as needed.
