Role:
The VP-Assistant Controller will assist both the SVP Controller/Enterprise Risk and the SVP Finance in the supervision and management of all aspects of the accounting and financial operations of the credit union. This is a dynamic role that requires adhering to timelines and attention to detail. This roll also requires continuous communication with all members of the Accounting and Finance department, as well as all members of the credit union team, to ensure it is operating effectively.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Preparation of financial reports, including but not limited to, monthly financial statements and quarterly NCUA 5300 Call Reports.
Perform other duties and ad-hoc reporting as assigned, in support of both the SVP-Controller/ Enterprise Risk and SVP Finance.
Function as liaison with the Audit department during all internal, external, and supervisory audits and exams. Ensure the completeness and quality of all materials to be provided.
Works with the Accounting Manager and Staff Accountants to resolve reconciliation discrepancies and provide back-up when necessary.
Provide system administration for financial software and platforms, including regular audits and user management. As directed, implement technology enhancements, streamline procedures, and improve processes within the department.
Responsible for maintaining all Fixed Asset, Prepayment, and Accrual related reconciliations and subledgers.
Assists SVP-Controller/Enterprise Risk with the preparation of the Annual Budget, FAS91 Cost Study, and other reporting, as requested. Other job-related duties, as assigned.
This is a hybrid role and requires one to two days per week on-site, as needed, in Lowell, MA.

The expected base salary range offered for this role is $94,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
