Job Summary:
The BSA position is a multi-dimensional role, working with people, processes, data, and software to drive optimal business performance. Unlike this role at some firms, the Brunswick Bowling BSA facilitates processes across all business functions. This role reports to the IT Applications Manager.
Brunswick Bowling is in the early stages of a multi-year initiative to modernize its business systems. While stable and steady, our current systems are challenged to capitalize on market opportunities that require greater agility and inter-operability. We are migrating a significant portion of our processes to the IFS Cloud platform – a modern, scalable, extendible ERP system. We need a dynamic BSA that wants to be part of this journey from the beginning.
The Business System Analyst will also assist with change management including technical documentation, business process documentation, and training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business System Analyst will work with business process owners and subject matter experts to identify areas for improvement, automation, or optimization. They will enumerate options, facilitate decisions, and set forth plans to accomplish project goals. This is completed through a combination of process and technical analysis which includes:
- Defining current state of process and desired future state of process.
- Identifying and prioritizing requirements and use cases.
- Developing conceptual designs or prototypes that demonstrate both technical design and business function.
- Organizing work into manageable units that can be used to execute the project alone or with peers.
- Collaborate with teammates throughout the organization to ensure the successful delivery of projects, including testing, rollout, and post-go-live support.
- On-going systems support, including rotational on-call responsibilities.
- Must uphold the highest standards of confidentiality with regard to business data, employee information, and proprietary systems.
