Position Summary:
To assist in the management and maintenance of the financial and management information systems of the Broward County Waste to Energy Plant and other projects as they occur.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing payments to suppliers and reviewing the aging of accounts.
- Reconciling vendors as needed and process adjustments as needed.
- Issue statement of accounts to vendors as needed.
- Follow-up on outstanding projects and their closure.
- Update fixed asset master list as needed and run depreciation.
- Review warehouse inventory and follow-up to review accuracy.
- Support the plant finance team with reporting needs.
- Support the plant finance team with any internal / external auditors requirements.
- Advise / assist the management team in their understanding and interpretation of the monthly accounts.
- Perform any other balance sheet reconciliations as needed.
- Management of cashflow with timely raising of client invoices and cash collection of client invoices
Job Qualifications
- Education: Credible finance professional with a track record of providing excellent financial support.
- Preferred background in the waste industry, manufacturing/processing industry or utility sector
- Commercially adept and perceptive
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong IT skills
