Brown University School of Public Health (SPH) invites innovative, experienced and collaborative leaders to apply for the position of Associate Dean of Education. This position comes with a faculty appointment in the Teaching Scholar or Professor of the Practice track at the School of Public Health.

Known for academic excellence and a student-centered approach, the School of Public Health integrates public health coursework with hands-on research and community partnerships. We provide a collaborative environment where students work alongside expert faculty and local organizations in preparation for successful careers and lives of purpose.

Working closely with faculty, department chairs and school leadership, the Associate Dean of Education will develop and execute a comprehensive strategy supporting all 11 SPH degree programs which serve over 650 students annually through multiple modalities. They will supervise the school’s academic and advising staff while working collaboratively with partners across the University to ensure students are successful throughout their academic journey.

The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree and possess a proven track record in teaching, mentorship and higher education leadership. We seek a visionary leader who understands the evolving landscape of pedagogy, curriculum, delivery modalities and enrollment trends to ensure our programs remain at the vanguard of public health education.

Interested applicants should submit a letter of application and curriculum vitae through Interfolio. The letter should describe their teaching philosophy, educational leadership experience, vision for the future of public health education, and approach to innovative pedagogy and student services. Candidates should address how they would contribute to our diverse and inclusive university community.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with all applications submitted by April 15 receiving full consideration. The search will remain open until the position is filled. Potential applicants are invited to contact the Office of Faculty Affairs in the School of Public Health at [email protected] for further information or application details.
