Description 

The Chapman University School of Pharmacy invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool to support teaching opportunities in the Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs (MSRA) program in the following areas: 

  • U.S. Regulatory Framework, FDA Regulatory Pathways, and Options 
  • Biologic and Biosimilar License Applications: PreMarketing Regulation 
  • U.S. Nonclinical and Clinical Regulation of Biomedical Products 
  • Biomedical Products and Medical Device Marketing, Pricing, and Reimbursement 

Responsibilities 

  • Design course syllabus materials for each week of teaching 
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and assessments 
  • Collaborate with the program director to ensure course outcomes 

The MSRA program is designed to prepare graduates for professional roles in regulatory affairs across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and related life-science industries. Part-time lecturers will be assigned to teach graduate-level courses aligned with the program’s core competencies, including U.S. and global regulatory frameworks, regulatory strategy, quality systems, compliance, product development, and related applied topics. 

 

Courses are planned to be offered in the evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 PM (Tues, Wed, Thurs and Saturdays [flexibility based on the instructor])

 

Fall Term Schedule: mid-August through late December 
Spring Term Schedule: mid-January through mid-May 
Summer Session: teaching opportunities may also be available. 
 
Courses are offered in person on campus at the Rinker Health Sciences Campus in Irvine, CA, with some instructional activities potentially incorporating applied or experiential components.

Required Qualifications 

  • Earned graduate degree from an accredited institution or appropriate professional equivalency 
  • Demonstrated currency and expertise in regulatory affairs or a closely related professional area 
  • Strong commitment to student learning, high-quality teaching, and academic excellence
  • Ability to effectively teach students from diverse educational and professional backgrounds 
  • Ability to teach in person on campus 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Earned graduate degree from an accredited institution in Regulatory Affairs or a closely related discipline 
  • Professional experience in regulatory affairs within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or related life-science industries 
  • Prior experience teaching or training graduate or professional-level learners
