Snyder High School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our administrative team as an Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsibilities
- Assist the Principal in the overall administration of the school, including the development and implementation of educational programs and policies.
- Support the academic and social-emotional development of students by providing guidance and mentorship to both students and staff.
- Collaborate with teachers to enhance instructional practices and promote innovative teaching strategies.
- Oversee student discipline and behavior management, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Coordinate and lead school-wide initiatives and programs, including extracurricular activities, assemblies, and community events.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers to foster professional growth.
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of staff members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Engage with parents and the community to build strong partnerships that support student achievement and well-being.
- Monitor student attendance and academic performance, implementing interventions as necessary to support at-risk students.
- Stay informed of current educational trends, policies, and best practices to effectively lead the school in achieving its goals.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Educational Administration, Leadership, or a related field.
- Valid state certification in administration or educational leadership.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, with at least one year in a leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including students, parents, faculty, and community members.
