Our team is responsible for operating and continuously improving our CargoWise One (CW1) environment – a business-critical freight forwarding platform used by thousands of Hellmann employees worldwide, connecting seamlessly with partners and customers across air and ocean freight. We are looking for a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring stable, scalable operations and driving the optimisation of our application infrastructure. Tech Stack: CargoWise One (CW1), Microsoft Windows Server, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft SQL Server, Windows AD (Active Directory), Citrix DAS (Desktop Access Service)

About the Job

  • Provide technical support for a business-critical corporate application

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments

  • Manage and monitor our Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure

  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to implement business solutions

  • Collabrate with WiseTech upstream provider

  • Document technical procedures and operational processes

  • Maintain and improve knowledge base articles

About You

  • Completed degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent vocational training with at least 3 years of experience in system administration and/or application support

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure

  • Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server, Microsoft ActiveDirectory Services and IIS

  • Understanding of XML EDI Interface

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; experience in a multicultural or multilingual environment is a plus

  • Professional proficiency in English; ideally also German or additional languages

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, including participation in on-call duties for up to two weeks per quarter
